How Momentum is measured

Momentum combines 6-month and 12-month price performance, excluding the most recent month, and adjusts each return for volatility.

6M = Price[-21] / Price[-147] - 1 12M = Price[-21] / Price[-273] - 1 Risk-adjusted momentum = 50% × (6M / Volatility) + 50% × (12M / Volatility)
How Risk is measured

Risk is intended to use 250-day volatility, beta to SPY and maximum drawdown. The score is reversed so that 100 means more stable/lower risk.

Quality and Growth

Quality will use profitability, margins, free cash flow and leverage. Growth will use revenue, earnings and free-cash-flow growth. Scores are percentile rankings within the stocks analyzed.
